“The best love is the kind that awakens
the soul; that makes us reach for more, that plants the fire in our
hearts and brings peace to our minds.”
– The Notebook
Many of you know how Jason and I met, but I like the story so much, I’ll tell it again :). I was working at Buckle
at the time and one fine day in walks J. He just wanted to get his jeans hemmed, but being the sales person I am, I convinced him to try on numerous outfits. $500 later he walks out of the store and I (sadly) figured I probably wouldn’t see him again. About twenty minutes later, the store phone rings and my boss answers…you guessed it, it was Jason asking for me! I was with a customer so my boss told him I was busy and Jason asked to have me call him back. One small issue: I didn’t have his number! Realizing this, he called again and this time I answered. I was again with a customer and told him this, so he said “Ok call me back when you can” and then hung up. Hmmm… I STILL didn’t have his number. Later in the day I was on my break and Jason called one last time. Thankfully I answered and that, ladies and gentleman, was the beginning of our love story.
Fast forward 3 years and a couple months…We had the typical big southern wedding with THE most wonderful
friends and family involved. I changed jobs a couple of times and so did Jason. We had our financial ups and downs. We traveled, worked on the house, and shared countless memories with our friends and families.
