I had my friendly local Publix manager walk me through the store last week to show me easier ways to shop organic. I was getting frustrated because things seemed to be all over the store, but I actually just wasn’t paying attention. Did you know they color code their food labels?! Here’s a quick cheat:
*White- “normal” products
*Brown- “healthier” options- could be low fat, all natural, low sodium etc.
*GF sticker- gluten free!
*USDA sticker- USDA organic
Here’s a list of what I normally buy at Publix:
*Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin Bread
*Ezekiel Cinnamon Raisin Cereal (I use in place of granola over my greek yogurt)
*USDA Organic Fruits and Veggies
*Suja Organic Juice– I’m obsessed with the Green Supreme
*USDA Organic Beef
*Greenwise Romaine Salad
*Greenwise Whole Milk for Huddy
*Trader Joes and Costco to come. Wait until you see what Costco has been hiding!
