Oh yes, it’s time for another Fall recipe!  My whole family loves Apple Crisp, but I wanted to come up with a healthier version of it.  So after a couple trials, I have come up with an extremely delicious and better-for-you Apple Crisp recipe.  The biggest difference in my recipe?  The topping.  Instead of using oats smothered in butter and sugar and regret, I used Bear Naked’s Sea Salt Caramel Apple Granola.  It’s a new flavor from Bear Naked and it is so good!  I was eating it for breakfast with some almond milk, but after putting it in this recipe I definitely want to add it to more!  It’s the perfect sweet and savory Fall addition to both my morning rituals and recipes to come.   Because I love ya’ll- you can use the Ibotta app to get $2 off!  P.S. if you haven’t used this app before, download it now.  It is the best coupon finder/money saver.
Ingredients:
*I found all of these ingredients at BJs.  They have a coupon at the front of the store for $2 off Bear Naked.  Combined with the coupon mentioned above that’s $4 off!  AND they’re doing live demos on September 5th so that you can taste this delicious granola before buying.
Instructions:
  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.  Grease 8 inch corningware with 1 TBSP coconut oil.
  2. Mix maple syrup, brown sugar, cinnamon and vanilla in a small bowl.
  3. Place apples in corningware dish and pour mixture over the top of the apples.  Use a spatula to thoroughly coat apples.
  4. Top with Bear Naked granola.  Melt remaining coconut oil if solidified, and pour over the granola.
  5. Place corningware in the oven for 20-25 minutes or until top is golden brown.  Serve immediately with coconut whipped cream or coconut ice cream.  Enjoy!!
