Happy first day of October! That means ALL things Halloween. Hudson has a Halloween party at MMO this week so I thought I’d test drive these sweet Witches’ Brooms Trick or Treat bags. Aren’t they adorable? Here’s everything you need for this simple Halloween craft!
Obviously candy and a fast/fun family dinner are a must! I’m a big NESTLÉ® fan myself, so these candies and pizzas hit the spot. Between Butterfingers, Crunch Bars, Sweettarts and Nerds, we’ve got all candy lovers covered for the goodie bags. As for the crafters- Hudson and myself, what’s better than some TOMBSTONE® Original Pepperoni?
We bought everything needed for this DIY at Walmart.
Items Needed:
- At least 3 big bags of NESTLÉ® candy- I bought the BUTTERFINGER® Fun Size, NESTLÉ® Jumbo Assorted Fun Size, WONKA® MIXUPS®
- 20 Paper Bags
- 30 Count Bag of Spider Rings
- 20 Sticks from the yard
- 2 Spools of Halloween Yarn or Ribbon
- Scissors
Directions:
- Cut 1/2 inch wide strips halfway down the paper bag. I found it was faster to hold two bags at a time and cut.
- Fill bottom 1/4 of bag with candy of choice. I did a mixture of the chocolate and sweet pieces, and a couple bags of just the WONKA® MIXUPS® for kids with nut allergies.
- Place a stick in each bag, and tie off just below where the cut strips end. This should be tight enough that the stick will not move and it stands upright to look like a witch’s broom.
- Decorate the bag as you want! You can add stickers, those little spider rings, and whatever else your heart desires. I let Hudson stickerfy several of the bags and they were covered but it was so fun!

what a great idea! You could whip these up in a jiff! We don't get many tick or treaters so maybe i could make these for them!
Perfect for a non scary party!
Very cute! I’m sure my kids would love a Halloween craft.
I love this idea! These are so cute and they are simple enough for the kiddos to help out!
So festive and cute! Easy to make too! 🙂
These are so cute! So crazy we ran out of candy last year. We had over 900 pieces and almost 300 trick or treaters! INSANE!
Those are absolutely adorable! I’ll have to keep these in mind when I’m working on our Halloween decor.
Those little treat bags are so cute!
