Love Your Curls

Where my curly ladies at?  During each pregnancy my hair has gotten curlier and curlier.  At first I had the typical girl reaction of “OMG I hate my hair.”  But I am learning to love these curls!  If you can’t beat ’em, join ’em.  Right?  Which is why I am enjoying the new Dove Hair “Love Your Curls” campaign.  Dove Hair isn’t just telling you to take care of your hair, they’re telling you to celebrate it!  Starting with the new #LoveYourCurls emoji app.  You can get it in both the Apple and Google Play Store.

How cute are these??  There are both little emojis and active graphics that you can send to your fellow curly girls!  Did you know 74% of people use emojis to express themselves?  But not one character on the universal emoji board has curly hair.  Which is why Dove Hair has introduced this new keyboard!  They’re also partnering with Twitter- each time someone shares a #LoveYourCurls moment a custom Dove Curly Emoji will appear in the tweet!

  1. I love this! I have curly hair, and would love something that more represents me! Of course, my hair has been less done and more messy bun with a new baby who loves to pull. I will have to check this out, thanks for sharing 🙂

  2. You have GORGEOUS locks, girl 🙂 It’s funny–I had a massive hair cut the other day (I’m talking at least 6 inches) and had my hair straightened in the process. I’ve been so terrified to wash my hair and see my hair short and curly, which is completely ridiculous because ISN’T THAT WHY I HAD A HAIRCUT? I’m excited to see what it looks like now 🙂

  3. How clever! I’ll have to look into the Dove products again as I like to keep up with which shampoos and conditioners are suitable for my curls. I’ve been following the Curly Girl Method for a few years now and really learned a lot about my hair and how to bring out its best 🙂

  4. That’s so funny that your hair got curlier with each pregnancy. Those darn hormones will get us one way or another. I have had curly hair all my life. I just now accept it and have good curly days or bad and flat iron it for a change of pace.

  5. I love this! As a fellow curly girl, I never knew how to take care of my hair growing up so I always straightened it or put it in a bun. I’ve really started embracing it as an adult and using certain products that aren’t harmful to my natural curls. These curly hair emojis are ADORABLE!

  6. I love those curls!! My hair actually got straight on one side of my head. So I part my hair so that the side with wavy curls is thicker than the other.

  7. First of all, your curls are really pretty. I have curls myself, and they look nice right after the shower, but the second I brush them they fall apart. I love the emojis too. Super cute idea!

  8. I’ve always loved curly hair! I’ve seen mothers straightening their daughter’s hair all the time from when they’re very very young, and it bothers me because they’re not showing them how to love their curls! I’ve always thought curls were beautiful and it makes me sad other people don’t think so too.

  9. You have gorgeous curls! I have naturally curly hair as well. Mine has become more wavy since having my daughter. It was ringlet curls up until I gave birth. So crazy how it changes things! And love the curly heads! LifeAsLex
