You can just call the kids and I The Great Traveling Circus. We’ve had a trip a month for this entire year. Not that I’m complaining, I love traveling with my babies. I’ve learned the importance of consolidating, and anything that keeps my hands free is a major plus. Which is why I’ve teamed up with Baggalini to show you exactly what you need in your backpack when on a day out with kids.
Our last couple of trips have had a lot of outdoor time. So here’s what I pack to make sure you’re set your day out with kids:
- At least 3 diapers and a pack of wipes
- 2 changes of clothes, one for each kid
- Hand sanitizer
- Snacks- I normally do a protein bar for me, 2 packs of gummies, 2 bars, and 2 apples or other fruit for the kids.
- Water bottle big enough for the whole family
- Sunscreen- ALWAYS important no matter the weather.
- Small trash bag
- A blanket
- Small foldable umbrella
This is a fool-proof list to get you through almost ANY da out with kidsy. I absolutely love this Baggalini backpack from Zappos as it carried all of this for me and allowed me the use of both arms. I love a great backpack! The particular backpack I got is water resistant and weather proof. With kids, there’s nothing better.
I, of course, love ordering through Zappos. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again- ordering through Zappos makes my life so easy. They have SO many options and I receive my order in two days. If for some reason it’s not what I wanted, it is so easy to do returns with them!!
What about you? What do you pack for a day out with kids? Have I forgotten anything out of my list? Let me know in the comments below!
Such great tips for parents with young ones! Managing kids when out and about can be tough! I can’t wait to pass this on to some friends of mine!
Moms amaze me. You always think of everything for your kids and husbands without much thought to yourself. You rock!!
I can relate to this. I t is important to have a check list of things so that trips can be done with a minimum hitches
Another thing to add to that list is a little first aid kit. Kids are always bruising and scraping themselves, a band-aid or two wouldn’t hurt.
Great list! I also kept a change of shirt for me in the diaper bag or vehicle as well. There were enough times that I was the one on the receiving end of some of the kid’s messes, so it came in handy!
Way to think of everything! Feels like a ton of work just taking our dog to the beach haha!
This is a good list. I personally cannot leave the house without wipes. I have a preschooler and a toddler so you can see why, haha. Also, I have to be better putting sunscreen on them, no matter the weather. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
I am a huge list person! This is such a great list that will surely come in handy.
This list reminds me of all the times I took my daughter to disneyland when she was young. Of course these things were the stuff her mother focused on more. I was more focused on the food and making sure we had lunches that everyone could eat prepared.
Taking the kids anywhere means preparing a lot of stuff so you won’t have any issues. It’s really important to pack snacks and drinks all the time! This is a good list!
