Make Time for Me Time

It seems like everyone these days is busy, busy, busy. We’re all just running the rat race, but the pace is faster now than it has ever been. I find myself getting caught up in the day to day rush and by the end of the week I’m worn out and frustrated.  

Sometimes all a girl needs is a hot bubble bath and a fun read. This weekend I took the time and did just that. I ran to Safeway and grabbed my two favorite magazines and bottle of wine. When I got home I turned off my phone, drew a big bubble bath, and climbed in with my mags and a Sharpie. Why the Sharpie? Well I like to mark up magazines when I see fun ideas for the blog, fashion or makeup trends I love, decorating ideas etc… It drives my husband nuts but I really enjoy it. During that hour of quiet I found everything I want for Christmas, decorating tips I want to try on the house, and a new hair color I’m going to test this week. So even though I was relaxing, I still got items checked off my to-do list.

I think we all need to make a pact to take time out for ourselves more often! Who’s with me?
