Ya’ll know the Hughes’ love Twizzlers. I have been craving Watermelon Twizzler Pull n Peels ever since I got pregnant, and Hudson thinks they’re the most fun treat ever. We’ve been traveling a lot this summer, and I came to realize how perfect my favorite sweet treat is for the road. They’re delicious, low-fat, and don’t melt in the car! Better yet, they’re perfect for activities for the little ones. You can only let them watch so many movies- am I right?
My two favorite flavors- good ol’ fashioned Twizzler Twists and Watermelon Pull n Peels.
Before every road trip I run to Walmart to get the travel essentials, including our snacks. You can find the Twizzlers in the bagged candy aisle.
Now for the road trip activities! The Busy Bag tutorial I posted last week was such a hit, I decided to make a few with Twizzlers. Each of these is an 8×10 printable that comes with instructions below. Print out and enjoy my friends!
Instructions:
- Print out the above picture on regular 8×10 paper.
- Place paper in a sheet protector.
- Cut Twizzlers into several different sized pieces and place in a plastic bag.
- Let your child’s imagination run wild!
Instructions:
- Print out above picture and place in sheet protector.
- Cut Twizzlers to matching sizes for each shape and place in a plastic bag.
- Let your child/children place the matching Twizzler pieces to the picture above. Make sure to tell them which shape they’re making.
Instructions:
- Print out the above picture and place in a sheet protector.
- Cut Twizzlers into same size pieces and place in a plastic bag.
- Use this busy bag to work on counting!
And then of course, the most important activity of all: Best Twizzler Funny Face Contest. No road trip is complete without it.
