  1. 2 cups whole wheat flour
  2. 2 scoops Chocolate AboutTime protein powder
  3. 1/4 cup flaxseed
  4. 2 tsp baking powder
  5. 1 tsp cinnamon
  6. 1 tbsp ginger
  7. 1 tsp cloves
  8. 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  9. Himalayan sea salt to taste
  10. 1 cup applesauce- Use the carrot applesauce from Trader Joes
  11. 3 egg whites
  12. 1/3 cup + 1 tbsp maple syrup
  13. 1/3 cup molasses
  14. 1 tbsp vanilla extract
  15. *Powdered sugar to decorate
  1. Preheat oven to 350 and grease donut pan with coconut oil
  2. Pour wet ingredients into mixing bowl and whip until frothy: egg whites, maple syrup, molasses, and vanilla extract.
  3. Next, add the dry ingredients slowly while still stirring: whole wheat flour, protein powder, flaxseed, baking powder, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg, and a pinch of sea salt.
  4. Mix until well combined, then pour the mixture into the donut pan. I found scooping the mixture out with a 1/4 cup and pouring it into each donut holder with a spatula works best with this sticky dough.
  5. Fill each donut 2/3 of the way.
  6. Place in oven and cook for 15-20 or until edges are slightly brown.
  7. Dust each with powdered sugar.
  8. Enjoy with your cup of coffee!
