As a busy mom of two, it’s extremely important to be organized. Now I’m not claiming to have my life together, far from it. But I do pack a mean diaper bag. So what’s in my diaper bag? Let me show you!
- Diapers, and lot’s of them! I prefer the Huggies Snug and Dry because they seem to hold up the best. Have you ever had a diaper blowout in public? Yeah, not fun. I keep about 5 diapers for Henley in my purse. Hudson is now potty trained so I keep an extra pair of underwear for him
- Wipes
- Change of clothes for both kiddos. I have a bodysuit for Henley and shorts and a tee for Hudson. Obviously I change these out with the seasons.
- Toys- a couple trucks and/or trains for Hudson and a rattle for Henley
- Snacks- for both Hudson and I. For Hudson I pack two of his favorite bars, a fruit/veggie pouch, and vitamin gummies. For myself I pack an extra water bottle and a protein bar.
- Sippy cup- for Hudson. Henley’s breastfeeding so no bottles needed right now.
- Burp cloth and bib for Henley.
- Extra pacifier for Henley.
- Extra blanket for breastfeeding or in case baby girl gets cold.
- Hand sanitizer
- Sunscreen
- Changing pad
- Phone charger
- Keys, wallet, and cell phone.
So why do I love Huggies so much? Let’s start with ease of purchase. I can grab these at Kroger when I’m grocery shopping. Not having to make an extra stop to grab diapers is awe-some! Secondly, these diapers can hold their own. With up to 12 hour triple protection, I don’t have to worry about baby poop getting all over. They also absurd quickly so baby girl isn’t sitting in a wet diaper. For all you moms on-the-go (which is all of you) I highly recommend Huggies.
Shop at Kroger during the “Baby Me” Event going on between 3/20/16 – 4/2/16 and spend $40 on participating baby items so you can receive a $10 off coupon good towards anything at Kroger. (while supplies last)
This post is part of a social shopper marketing insight campaign with Pollinate Media Group® and Huggies, but all my opinions are my own. #pmedia #HuggiesatKroger http://my-disclosur.es/OBsstV
The only thing I would add is cash. I always kept a $20 in mine because you never know when you will need cash and like me, never have any in my wallet.
OH my such a great point! I’ll add that in. Thank you!
Great post for new and soon-to-be moms who are trying to figure it all out!
All the essentials! Love it!
One of the things I definitely don’t miss was packing a diaper bag. I swear I was one of those moms that had EVERYTHING in her diaper bag, only because I had two kids. lol
This is a great post for soon-to-be or new mommies who don’t know what to include. I always kept extra formula and food in mine as well just in case plus an emergency contact info card.
I also kept an extra top for myself. As we all know sometimes babies spitup on you.
I was just telling my husband how funny it is I used to live out of a wallet bag. My little guy is 5 now and I swear with each year my bag gets fuller and bigger. lol I can no longer live without wipes.
I miss the days of diaper bags! I used to carry everything but the kitchen sink in that bag!
Those TJ pouches are the BEST! They are so much cheaper than the other organic brands and my kiddos love them.
You certainly pack a mean diaper bag, I love huggies diapers they are just awesome I am told
I love me some huggies! I used to be obsessed with Luvs after I stopped cloth diapering, but I have found that Huggies work the best!
I’m going to have to share this with my sister who just had a baby! This is such a great list!
Great things to have in the bag. Snacks are always good.
I love those Aiden & Anais swaddle blankets. We couldn’t leave the house without them when Kit was a baby!

I have an almost four month old, but because I’m a new mom I pack the kitchen sink in our diaper bag. I don’t know what I’ll do when we have two and one is a toddler.
Ok. seems like you have everything covered! hehe mom at the ready always!
When the twins first arrived, I had all kinds of things a mother would put in a diaper bag, i had like 3x the amount of extras. Lol. It’s funny because my grandmom would always tell me to bring extras for the extras, so that’s why I always had a jampacked diaper bag. This is a pretty complete list, actually. Awesome!
It’s pretty much what I had in my diaper bag as well but with a lot more diapers, wet wipes, tissues, and a whole lot more.
This looks like my diaper bag 🙂 We are huge Huggies fans in this house as well!
I could relate in this, I always bring diaper bag wherever I go just for my baby and I been using Huggies for a years start on my first born.
When I was in my diaper bag days I used it as my purse. I had to carry it anyway so the purse stayed home.
You’re like me, just the essentials! I’ve seen some crazy overpacked diaper bags! I guess you can never be too prepared! 🙂
I saw my godson today and he had these swaddle blankets. Aren’t they great?
Good thing you have that! Thanks for the ideas and tips. Glad yo shared it!
So much self control! I was always “that mom”, when I left the house with my babies there was enough food and clothing in my bag to sustain them for a week. I was ridiculous.
I remember those days, my hubby used to pack my diaper bag!
My diaper bag has turned into my purse and God only knows what is in there.
When my son was an infant, I kept a full spare outfit in my diaper bag all the time. I never once had to use it! So I stopped carrying it. Aside from one major diaper blowout my daughter had the other month, we’ve been fine! Lots of these are the same things in our diaper bag, too, though!
You are prepare for everything! Hope I will be like you someday
How well prepared you are! That toy tractor is adorable.
That’s the real essentials! You’re well prepared. Thanks for sharing!
